NEET Hello Work 8: Chapter 4

In the darkness, while I remained pensive in bed, Shira chan, who was sleeping next to me, get up with a rustling sound. Is she going to toilet?

Sati and Tilika returned to their respective rooms after I have finished doing my business. Right now, it is only me and Shira chan alone.

Swish, swish. I hear a wind sound, and I found her practicing her swings.

“I am sorry. Did I wake you up?”

“No, I already took a nap this afternoon, so I wasn’t particularly sleepy.”

“……Do you want to have another go?”

She must not mind, because I can hear a hint of happiness in her voice.

“That is good too, but let’s talk.”

“What do you want to talk about?”

“Hm, what do you want to do from now onward.”

“Ï want to become stronger.”

An immediate answer. I mean, has this girl talk about anything else.

“In that case, you are already a lot much stronger now.”

“I still haven’t reach Sati sis and milord strength yet.”

“Then, what will you do once you have become as strong as us?”

“Isn’t milord still continuing his training despite being so strong? That means, you wish to become stronger too, right?”

“I don’t really wish to become strong.”

If I like to, I want to stop training anytime.

“Despite that, didn’t you participate in the intense training?”

“I don’t want to become stronger, I do it because I have to become strong.”

“How is it any different?”

“Well, you see. For example, Tamara can still survive even if she is weak, right? But I will die unless I get stronger.”

I am not the only one. This very whole world is facing destruction.

“Wasn’t that a given for any adventurers? If you do not like that, you should just continue governing as the lord.”

Now that I remember, I have not told Shira chan about the upcoming quest yet.
