Sati is happy to get praised.

Ann, Ellie and Tilika have also arrived. Lilia sits on the other side of Sati and across me, while Tilika sit next to Sati. After moving one more sofa, Ann and Ellie sat opposite to each other.

“Both of you, good work in the tournament. How was the closing party?”

After everyone has gathered, Ann posed me the question.

“Ah, you see. The King arrived midway of the party. I was really surprised.”

First, I tell them about the closing party. As I talked about Francesca and Borzola, I recounted the Giant Killer part in more details. Then, I tell them about my exchange with the King.

“Even though we planned to settle down within our territory, we need to remember that the plan will change depending solely on Masaru’s circumstances. Lilia truly is a lifesaver. Generally, us commoner can never said anything firmly against someone like the King.”

Due to that, I was prompted to say what I meant. Well, when we are in front of the King, certainly it is hard to say that I will leave whenever I feel like it.

But earlier, I said something almost similar like that.

This is a nice country, and I won’t mind my bones buried here. In response, the King answered that he will firmly rule his country in the meantime. It may not be bad to serve a King like that.

“Well, it’s almost time to make up our resolution.”

Ellie is right. I need to prepare for the ruin of not only country level, but on the world scale……

“Masaru is from a faraway land. He has been here for no longer than a year since he first arrived. There is no way he can make the decision easily.”

So, Ann counters and defended me.

“From my perspective as the person from the Empire, this country is a great nation. The King has a good reputation as well.”

“You really think so?”

“Recently, I’ve failed to reclaim the demon’s territory too……”

Ellie must have a lot of thoughts running in her mind, especially when it comes to Gorbas Fortress. She is wearing a complicated face.
